The Cumberland Story (1947)🔸

The Cumberland Story is a 1947 British 'Crown Film Unit' documentary drama film. It features James Adam Nimmo and Tom Stephenson. A coal mine manager, with the agreement of the union and workers, revitalises a Cumberland coal mine during 1941, opening up an abandoned coal seam out at sea and bringing in new equipment. A film restored by the British Film Institute (BFI), and written and directed by Humphrey Jennings.
