An unnamed (undescribed) peacock spider from Brisbane. This species has been known since 1989, from a drawing in a paper by Zabka and Davies and the pickled specimens they were based on. However, it was not until late last year that further live individuals turned up, thanks to the efforts of Maddie Girard. This is an individual I had on loan from her for a week. Unfortunately I had no matching female so had to do with females of some other species. But as you can see, he didn't seem to mind, maybe the exotic looks got him especially excited, almost seems that way. Fascinating action !
