Carry On Sergeant is a 1958 British comedy film, the first in the series of 31 Carry On films (1958-1992). It features Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtrey, William Hartnell, Shirley Eaton, Eric Barker, Dora Bryan, Bill Owen, Kenneth Connor, Terence Longdon, Norman Rossington, and Hattie Jacques. Sergeant Grimshaw is a retiring army training sergeant who is faced with possibly the worst group of national service recruits ever to have been called up.
