Train. Practice. Grind. Compete. Repeat. The whole season comes down to this. There are paintball tournaments, and then there is the World Cup. Held in Florida each professional tournament season since the nineties, the PSP World Cup marks the final pro event of the year and is the last chance to shine for teams on every level from around the globe. A World Cup victory can supplant an entire disappointing season, become the crowning achievement of an amazing run or dash the hopes of the greatest should it not come together inside the net. Hundreds of teams converged on Florida’s Fantasy of Flight in October for their shot at 2014 World Cup glory and while some rose and others fell, many G.I. Sportz teams played their very best paintball and won series and event titles! Edmonton Impact capped off their amazing season on both sides of the ocean with a 2014 PSP Champions Division series title, while AC: Dallas took the series title in Division 1 competition. The top slots on the D1 podium at World Cup were populated by the TMG Outlaws, Portland Uprising and Sacramento DMG. Division 2 saw Revo2 win both the World Cup and Series titles, while Prime took second place. Ten-man play saw Findlay Force take the Cup trophy ahead of the legendary All Americans while the DZ All Stars won D4 RaceTo 2 competition and took their series title as well! Chicago Backdraft battled to third place in D3 RaceTo 2, Prime2 managed second place in D4 RaceTo 4, with Detroit Action managing a hard-fought fourth place there as well. G.I. Sportz congratulates the teams who left it all on the field at the 2014 PSP World Cup and presents a look at this amazing event by master filmmaker Sina Azmoudeh.
