On a daily basis dozens of drivers are unjustifiably fined for driving within the normal highway speed limit (80 km/hour or 50 Miles/hour), due to obscure temporary speed signs with lowered limits (50 km/hour or 31 Miles/hour) placed in pockets of the road intended for construction but where there is no construction going on. Instead of placing large warning signs for actual construction going on, the transport ministry headed by a corrupt criminal (Gagik Beglaryan) has placed small temporary signs in places with absolutely no construction allowing the police to hide behind trees right after the sign to make an easy 30% commission on speeding tickets. Meanwhile Armenia is emptying as majority of the population is living under the poverty level, yet they are forced to pay hefty unjust traffic fines.
